Part theatre, part drag show, part queer retelling of the Christmas story, A Drag Christmas Spectacular returns December 19th and 20th, 2025!

THE JOURNEY CONTINUES

Join the unforgettable Magi—Gayspar, Belthaslay, and Melqueer—as they follow a fateful star (with a few hilarious detours along the way) to celebrate a birth that represents new hope, joy, and belonging for all.

A NEW THREAT EMERGES

But this year, our beloved Magi face their greatest challenge yet. The forces of fear have been gathering in the darkness, and a powerful celestial Villain has emerged—determined to extinguish their light and stop them from completing their sacred quest. Will hope triumph over hatred? Will love shine brighter than fear? There’s only one way to find out.

FAQs

🎄 General Questions

Who is this show appropriate for?

This show contains some adult themes, language, and references. While we celebrate chosen family of all kinds, some content explores coming out, family acceptance, and includes mild innuendo. Read our parental guide to judge if it’s right for your family.

Where is the show taking place?

At Foothills Unitarian Church, 1815 Yorktown Ave in Fort Collins. Yes, we know – it’s a church! We promise no one will burst into flames when they arrive.

Is this the same script as last year?

Think of it as your favorite holiday movie with a director’s cut – we’re returning to our beloved magi with the best of what you remember, plus exciting new twists, fresh numbers, and surprises that’ll make you gag (in the best way possible). Same heart, new sparkle!

I’m a straight ally, can I come?

Yes! Allies are absolutely welcome! Just remember you’re entering a queer safe space – a celebration of LGBTQ+ joy and community. Come ready to celebrate, support, and have a fabulous time. Also, we suggest everyone bring some bills to tip the performers – they work hard to slay for your entertainment!

🎭 About the Show

What should I expect?

Expect laughter, tears (the good kind), incredible performances, pop music lip-syncs, original monologues, and a story about finding your people and your truth. Oh, and Fear-Ah trying to ruin everything (but don’t worry, love wins).

Is this a religious show?

It’s a joyful, irreverent reimagining of the nativity story that celebrates queer joy, chosen family, and the power of love and acceptance. While we use the framework of the three magi’s journey, this is about community, transformation, and fabulousness – not doctrine!

How long is the performance?

Approximately 2 hours including a 15-minute intermission. Perfect time to refresh your drink, adjust your crown, and prepare for Act 2!
💝 Supporting the Show

How can I be a good audience member?

Cheer loudly! Laugh freely! Snap, clap, and “yasss” appropriately! Respect the performers and fellow audience members. Keep your phone on silent during the show.

Can I tip the performers?

YES PLEASE! Bring cash to show your appreciation. Our performers put their whole hearts (and padding) into this show. Tipping is encouraged and deeply appreciated.
🌈 Accessibility & Comfort

What should I wear?

Whatever makes you feel fabulous! Some folks come in their holiday finest, some in casual comfort, some in their own drag. This is a come-as-you-are (or as-you-wish-you-were) event!

Are there content warnings I should know about?

The show includes themes of family rejection and acceptance, coming out, some political satire, and mild adult humor. It ultimately celebrates love, acceptance, and queer joy, but does touch on real struggles LGBTQ+ people face.

Is the venue accessible?

Foothills Unitarian Church has wheelchair accessible entrances and seating. Please let us know when purchasing tickets if you need specific accommodations.
🎟️ Tickets & Logistics

Is there parking?

Yes! The church has a parking lot, and there’s additional street parking available.

Will tickets be available at the door?

We recommend purchasing in advance as we often sell out! Check our website for availability.
✨ Final Thoughts

Absolutely! First-timers are cherished! Our cast and community are here to share joy with everyone. Come with an open heart and ready to celebrate – you’ll leave with your spirit lifted and maybe some glitter in unexpected places.
